Use this dashboard to quickly find activities as you observe EYE-TA skills in your classroom or to strengthen the skills that need honing.
First, click on your EYE-TA item of choice, then filter by group size or COVID compatibility to view a list of activities matching these criteria. Activity suggestions include the name and a short description. You can then download and print the full activity description, including possible activity modifications, and any accompanying materials.
These activities originate from a variety of existing EYE resources: EYE-100 Domain Strengthening Activities, 15 Play-Based Activities to Assess All 42 EYE-TA Items, Simple Targeted Activities to Assess EYE-TA Items, and Easy Extensions for Existing Classroom Activities to Assess EYE-TA Items.
Notes:
- We have not filtered activities for any of the Domain B items (Social Skills and Approaches to Learning) since children can be assessed on these items through most regular activities, centres, routines, and interactions during the school day.
- For the filter for activities that “Can be done with no, few, or easily sanitized materials”, we are assuming that each child has their own pencils, pencil crayons, crayons, glue, and scissors that do not need to be sanitized between uses.
