The Learning Bar’s vision is ”giving all children the opportunity to thrive” and the Early Years Evaluation (EYE) solutions are an important step on a child's pathway to achieving this.
Our EYE team is excited to share with you some wonderful new features and resources for the 2022/2023 school year.
Get new staff up to speed!
Our EYE training sessions are now available online for both the EYE-DA and EYE-TA!
The format, delivered via our learning management system (LMS) called Absorb, allows teachers and other support staff to complete their training independently and at their own pace.
Benefits & Features:
- Saves the cost and time for bringing teachers together physically or arrange for group training.
- Provides an engaging format for learning including videos, required reading, resources, and knowledge checks.
- Access is granted for the entire school year, allowing teachers to refer back to the material as needed.
- Training is available for additional teachers at any time during the school year
- What worked well and responded to the child's needs?
- Progress reports are available to monitor users’ completion of the course
Jurisdictions can purchase individual licenses at a flat rate of $195 per participant. An invoice will be sent to you upon confirmation of your purchase, and any additional licenses added at a later date will be billed separately.
Reorganize EYE-DA classes to align with the Kindergarten class list
Kindergarten Classroom Builder
Kindergarten teachers no longer need to access multiple EYE reports in order to view all the EYE results for their current class! The Kindergarten Classroom Builder allows administrators to produce a report for each Kindergarten classroom containing the domain results from the children's most recent EYE-DA evaluation.
Medicine Hat Public School Division used the EYE to allocate resources effectively.
Entering data online
Do your educators need practice entering results?
This school year, we are making EYE-DA and EYE-TA online data entry practice accounts available! You can use these accounts to show educators how to edit class lists, enter scores and generate reports, and/or accounts can be set up for educators so they can practice themselves.
Email eye-support@thelearningbar.com for more information about this feature!
New role announced: Session Administrator
The Session Administrator role provides greater visibility to the jurisdiction’s sessions and offers many exciting features. This role is reserved for EYE coordinators who oversee the EYE session implementation.
This first edition of the 2022-2023 EYE newsletter is only going out to our primary EYE coordinators, so feel free to share it with other staff if appropriate! If you have opted for your teachers to receive the newsletter on the implementation form, they will soon receive our September edition.
