We’re excited to introduce a new enhancement to the EYE Child Action Plans—a comment bank that makes documenting and reflecting on each child’s progress easier and more efficient.
Child Action Plans help educators reflect on which strategies are working and identify areas that may need adjustment. This guide walks you through how to access and use the comment bank feature.

Step 1: Log In and Access Your Class List
Log into the EYE system and click the Data Entry icon.
You’ll be directed to your Class List page where you will need to locate the child you want to add comments for.
Click the Get Report dropdown next to their name.
Step 2: Choose Your Editing Method
You have two options to edit the action plan, please note that the comment bank is only available for Option B:
Option A: Download and Edit
Download the PDF to your computer so you can use a PDF reader and make your edits.
Option B: Edit in the App
Click “Click here to edit” to open a user-friendly editing window directly in the app.
Step 3: Use the Comment Bank
If you're editing within the app, simply click into the section where you'd like to add a comment. A dropdown menu will appear with suggested comments tailored to various needs. Choose the ones that best support the child’s development, and they’ll be added directly to the plan.
You have full flexibility to edit the text, adjust the font size, and personalize each comment to reflect your classroom and school context. Additionally, you can delete any comment or write your own to ensure the feedback is meaningful and relevant.
Step 4: Save and Continue
Once you’ve finished editing, scroll to the bottom of the page and click **Save**. You can then choose to return to your class list or continue working on other plans. All of your comments will be securely saved and will be available the next time you log in.
