Transform Literacy Instruction!
Recent research and major scientific advancements into literacy acquisition have uncovered a large disconnect between how we are teaching children to read and how children actually learn to read. Despite motivated, dedicated educators, only 70% of students leave school well-equipped with the literacy skills to reach their full potential. We want to help educators change this.
This course will provide educators with:
- an overview of the Simple View of Reading, that outlines that successful reading acquisition depends upon two components: decoding and linguistic comprehension;
- five high yield teaching strategies considered to be the most effective teaching strategies for increasing the rate at which children learn;
- the knowledge of how to teach coding skills; and
- the knowledge of how to teach language comprehension skills.
Equip your teachers with the skills they need to impact all students' reading proficiency.
We know there is a lot of uncertainty about what this year will bring, but please know that we are here to support you and your educators. Please reach out to us anytime with your questions or concerns.
