Musical MatsLearning objective: Children will be able to name 15 letters of the alphabet and catch a soft soccer-sized ball. Description: Children walk around a circle of mats while music is playing. When the music stops, they stand beside one of the mats. Throw a soft ball to a child. He or she must then flip the mat over and identify the letter under it. This can be done outdoors and used as an energiser activity.
